Happy Birthday to one of Norwell’s all-time greats, Ronnie DePesa!!

DePesa had quite the senior year at 160 lbs. in 1989
◾️Division II South Sectional Champion
◾️Division II State Champion
◾️New England Placewinner (6th)
◾️Bay State Games Champion
◾️Boston Globe All-Scholastic
◾️Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic

DePesa went on to wrestle for UMass Lowell where he had an outstanding freshman year at 158/167 pounds with a 16-9 overall record and placed 4th at the Division II Northeast Regionals at 158 pounds.

DePesa became Hanover High School’s first ever wrestling coach in 1993, where he coached until 1997.

Ronnie’s uncle Kenny DePesa was a 2x State Champion and OW for Braintree High School in 1962 and 1963.
