Wrestling is unique, it provides the best of both worlds. We get to win both as a team and as an individual. In the end, each wrestler has chance to decide who is the best on the mat. To promote Massachusetts Wrestling and create engagement with the people who wrestle in The Commonwealth of Massachusetts we have decided to revive rankings prior to All States and New Englands. We have also realized the opportunity to promote, recognize, and grow women wrestling within our community.

The Rankings Team is made up of News Reporters, Coaches, Club Coaches, Officials and other Massachusetts Wrestling Community Members. With that being said, the Rankings Team members will remain anonymous.
Questions, comments, or suggestions for the rankers? We welcome and encourage your feedback. A Rankings Team specific account is being set up for PM and anonymous responses.
!!! As a reminder, please keep posts and comments positive in this group. We’re looking to share information for the GOOD of our sport. Any wrestling politics, profanity, negative posts or comments about wrestlers, coaches, officials, administrators, volunteers, etc. will not be tolerated. !!!
INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS:
The first set of individual rankings will be released. We plan to distribute new rankings every two weeks. We have compiled rankings of the top 8 wrestlers in each of the 14 weight classes based on head-to-head competition, placements in tournaments and past accolades, including last years post season results. Honorable mentions will be included where possible and ordered alphabetically.
These Individual Rankings are calculated with information from the following:
* Information from George Bossi Lowell Holiday & Marshfield Holiday Tournament results
* Information from 2022 All States tournament results, 2022 New England tournament results, NHSCA Nationals results
* Information from Coaches & FloWrestling
* Information from Max Schwartz’s New England rankings
* Information from this past weekend tournament results are included in these rankings.
