MA Hall of Fame

On October 25th, 2008, the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame will be inducting four new members. Our friends, longtime Dracut HS coach, Bob Rudolph, John Putnam who coached in Marshfield for many years, Rick Sullivan, AAU and Harvard University wrestler and coach, official and clerk, Eric Turner are being honored on that night for their outstanding contributions to our sport.

The guest speaker for the evening is Andre Tippett, newly inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. Also on that evening, we are also recognizing the 1973 Lowell High School wrestling team, one of the best ever to compete in Massachusetts along with the 25th anniversary Billerica 1983 State Championship team and North Andover’s1979-1980 New England Championship teams.

With over 300 in attendance at last year’s banquet, you don’t want to miss this year’s wrestling-season kickoff get-together at Gillette Stadium. High school, college, club and youth coaches, wrestlers and parents from all around Massachusetts enjoyed last year’s festivities. Invitations will be in the mail within the next three weeks.
